About Me
I have been passionate about the African continent, its natural environment and wildlife since I was a child. After numerous journeys to Africa, photography naturally became my calling.
I have made it my mission to help people discover the world, nature and the beauty of the animal kingdom through my lens and through VISION, the magazine I founded.
Photography and writing have naturally become the ways through which I express how I see the world and connect with nature.
My desire is to tell the story of nature and what it whispers to us, but also to embrace it and experience it fully, for we are one with it; we are nature, we need it to live, and in our fast-paced lives, we all too often forget this...
My Work
My work explores the intimacy of the animal world through highly intense portraits. I seek to capture the raw moment when an animal reveals itself in all its majesty and vulnerability.
I photograph animals exclusively in their natural habitat, always maintaining a respectful distance and allowing the animal to remain at the centre of the encounter.
I do very little retouching because I want my photographs to remain as close as possible to the reality I witnessed in the field. I believe that beauty can often be found in the unexpected, the imperfect and the overlooked — it all depends on how we choose to look.
Field Experience
My photographic work has taken me several times to Ethiopia, where I have documented some of the country’s most threatened and elusive wildlife, including forest elephants in Chebera Churchura National Park and Ethiopian wolves in the Ethiopian Highlands.
My commitment to wildlife conservation also led me to create Wild Breath, an association dedicated to supporting the conservation of Chebera Churchura and its unique ecosystem.
These experiences have shaped my approach to wildlife photography: patience, discretion and a deep respect for animals and their natural environment.

Location
I’m based in Porto, Portugal, but I regularly travel to the African continent to photograph wildlife, particularly in Ethiopia, my favourite country.
I also travel to other parts of the world in search of wild places where nature still shapes the lives of the animals that inhabit them.
